Blue Yonder has been named a finalist in the 2018 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards Retail category. The company was honored among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.

This year, Microsoft acknowledged partners in 39 categories celebrating each of the solution areas, industries and many more. The award finalists and winners were selected from more than 2,600 nominations collected from 115 different countries worldwide based on their commitment to customers, their solution’s impact on the market and exemplary use of Microsoft technologies.

Blue Yonder's work with Microsoft


Blue Yonder’s AI-based solution is based on Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform which 
means that the solution can easily and smoothly scale up to predict the customer demand and make millions of replenishment decisions for major retailers. The flexibility of Microsoft Azure also enables Blue Yonder to deploy its solution on top of a retailer’s legacy systems. This significantly reduces capital expenditure and the time it takes to scale up the solution, increasing the speed of delivery and enabling Blue Yonder to deliver decisions to retailers immediately.
 
Blue Yonder’s AI-based algorithm takes retailers internal data, such as sales figures, customer footfall and promotions, and analyses that alongside external data such as weather patterns and events like football matches to produce a granular prediction of customer demand. In addition, it automates the replenishment process, taking decisions on behalf of the retailer to eliminate the burden of manual intervention in the replenishment process and enable retailers to devote more of their staffing resources to improving the customer experience.
